Description: This work, created during time at the University of Hong Kong, centers around a public piano, capturing the diverse lives of those who interact with it.

The story began when I heard a music student’s perspective that art is a luxury reserved for the elite. Then, the camera turned to a public piano, seeking to explore how people from all walks of life engage with music beyond formal performances. The piano attracted players from diverse backgrounds – hobbyists, professionals, students, and retirees – each sharing their unique stories through music. Regardless of skill level or age, their passion for music remained equally genuine, proving that art’s beauty transcends social boundaries and personal circumstances.
